Join Dream Academy, the ultimate after-school program for 2nd - 6th graders. We provide top-notch tutoring to help students excel in challenging subjects and introduce financial literacy through a fun online banking system. Students earn "D.R.E.A.M. Bucks" for milestones and acts of kindness, with opportunities to become student tellers. Enroll now for an exciting learning adventure!
Students will be rewarded for their milestones and accomplishments by receiving “D.R.E.A.M. Bucks”
MyKidsBank.org is an online mock banking system. We would use this system to print and disburse D.R.E.A.M. Bucks to students while teaching them math, financial literacy, and the importance of giving back.
The system also allows for instructors to appoint student tellers that could earn extra D.R.E.A.M. Bucks as income. There are many ways students could earn D.R.E.A.M. Bucks aside from completing assignments:
We will have a D.R.E.A.M. Store where students will be able to purchase items for themselves and items to be kind to others. This piece could be used in helping older students understand savings to start a business or buying a car or home, as well as organizing and implementing a budget.
Helping Others
Being Kind
Taking Initiative
Each volunteer will be eligible to have automatic enrollment (must meet requirements) into our C.A.R.E. Program that assists college students who are leaving home to attend college at a full time status with a year's supply of personal hygiene products, school supplies, dorm room and apartment essentials, as well as bedding and linens. If a volunteer has a 3.5 GPA and meets the requirements to be enrolled into the C.A.R.E. Program their volunteer hours will qualify them for a free laptop or up to $600 reimbursement towards a laptop they purchase for college.
Approximately 4 - 6 volunteer hours a week (2 - 3 hours on 2 days out of the week) during the hours of approximately 4:30pm - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday.
We invite high school Junior and Senior students to volunteer
We are asking for monetary donations of any amount that you can provide. Individual contributions are appreciated, and we are also looking for corporate sponsorships.
C.A.R.E. knows that it is important that learning be fun and achieving personal goals deserves to be rewarded.
